The 2018-2019 NFL football season kicks off this week. For the person who has the next Sunday, Monday, and Thursday booked until February, NFL fan gear is a great gift option.
As a lifelong 49ers fan, I was thrilled when my husband gave me a Carlos Hyde jersey two seasons ago, and I rocked it on many a Sunday. Unfortunately this year Carlos Hyde (who we all thought was going to be a franchise player) is a Cleveland Brown. There were so many trades and moves this past year in football, that you may know someone in the same boat as I am, in need of an updated jersey.
My husband is a huge New York Giants fan, and he pretty much has an Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Jacobs, etc. jersey in every color. This past year his friends got him a customized New York Giants jersey that I thought was a great idea. It was customized to his favorite number and had his last name. This may be a great safe option if you are not sure which player’s jersey to get.
It’s not all about jerseys. Fans can show their team pride in many other ways. Here are a few other suggestions, but I would suggest choosing styles that the person can wear everyday (not too much gaudy team flair):
My favorite is the Hands High line from Jimmy Fallon. I think these are so clever to put a little surprise message to cheer for your team when you raise your hands high.
For babies, they can show their team spirit in onesies:
For dogs to represent:
Something like this may be a bit too much, unless you are shopping for someone who likes the attention this would bring (I know I mentioned earlier to look for everyday styles but it’s kind of awesome):
